Feeding Methods
Mollusks have many different feeding habits and many different means of obtaining it. For instance, animals such as squid will eat small fish and octopus will eat animals such as crabs and other crustaceans using their muscular mouth and beak. Others are scavengers who feed on loose organic material called detritus. Some organisms cling to rocks and scrape bacteria and algae off or it with a hard chitin tongue called a radula.
